About

How we choose

Curated and compared. Never ranked for money.

We don't list every test, gadget or supplement brand. A listing gets in only by meeting the rules for its category on this page. Everything that meets them is compared side by side and ordered by price or name. We never name a "best" option or a winner, and meeting the rules isn't an endorsement: we don't test products ourselves, and it doesn't mean a product works.

Last updated Nov 5, 2026

What every listing needs

  • Sold in the US, with a published price. The price is on the provider's or brand's own US site. Quote-only, deposit-only or "register your interest" listings wait until a price is published.
  • Checked at the source, and dated. Every price and fact comes from the provider's or brand's own site, copied as published, with the date we checked it. How we check.
  • Money plays no part. No provider or brand can pay to be listed, to be left off, or for a better position. Never ranked for money.

Each category then has its own rules, below.

Longevity testing

On our testing comparison (26 providers). A provider is listed when:

  • It sells a longevity test or program to consumers. A blood panel, a body scan (MRI, DEXA or CT), a DNA or epigenetic age test, or a longevity program that bundles testing with clinician time.
  • It publishes a US price on its own site. Where the price varies by state or location, we show "from".
  • It says what's included. What's tested, how the sample is collected, and whether a physician orders or reviews the test. Where the provider doesn't say, we show "Not stated".

Longevity programs. A program (4 listed) must also meet these four rules:

  • Testing is what's sold. A set of health tests, with its own published price, that you can buy without buying a treatment.
  • It covers more than blood. Blood testing plus imaging, genetic or epigenetic testing, or both, described by the provider as a longevity program. Blood-only memberships are listed with blood tests.
  • A doctor reviews your results as part of the price. Doctors don't have to be named. Where they are, we say so and check one with the state medical board.
  • You can see where it happens. A clinic address, or for telehealth, a stated service area and where samples are collected.

We also search FDA and FTC records and state medical board discipline for action on the program, its advertising or its doctors in the last five years. Anything we find is cited on the listing with its date and a link to the regulator's record; it doesn't keep a program off the list. Clinics that also sell treatments can be listed for their testing program; we list the program and say what else they offer. There are no scores or tiers: a program meets the rules or it isn't listed.

Two programs listed before these rules don't yet show everything they ask for. Fountain Life doesn't publish which tests CORE includes, and Next Health doesn't say its results reviewer is a physician. Both stay listed, and their listings say what isn't stated.

Kinds of clinic we don't list as programs. These sell a treatment, or have no set testing program with a price: testosterone and hormone clinics where testing leads to a prescription, GLP-1 and weight-loss services, IV drip and infusion lounges, aesthetic clinics and medical spas, stem cell, peptide and "regenerative" clinics, wellness retreats and spas, and concierge and primary care practices with no fixed program. Hospital and executive health checks are listed when they meet the four rules.

Providers are grouped by type and ordered by price inside each group.

Longevity products

On our products page (60 products). A product is listed when:

  • It's relevant to healthspan. It measures, tracks or trains something linked to healthspan (sleep, fitness, strength, body composition, metabolic or hormonal health, focus and attention), or it's a recognized longevity or recovery modality: sauna, cold plunge, light therapy, percussion massage, compression, non-invasive nerve stimulation or pulsed pressure-wave systems sold for sleep, stress or recovery. Commodity items with no measuring, tracking or training function aren't listed. Cold plunges are shown with a chiller: a tub or barrel you fill with ice, sold without one, isn't included in a listing's models or price range.
  • It has a working official US store with a published price. Sold by the brand or its official seller. A product that's only taking deposits, isn't sold in the US, or is quote-only isn't listed until that changes.
  • It fits the category's scope. Strength covers smart strength machines and adjustable dumbbells. Light therapy covers light used for skin or for vitamin D, not light boxes or glasses for mood or body-clock timing, and not hair-growth caps.
  • No safety problem. No FDA warning letter, and no open FDA or Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recall covering the model on sale. We search both agencies' databases and date the search. A recall of a model that's no longer sold doesn't keep a product out. A recall of the model on sale keeps it out until the brand's fix is published, and is then stated on the listing as a fact.
  • Health claims are backed or labeled. Where a brand claims a health measurement or effect (an ECG, blood pressure, a "biological age"), we either name an FDA clearance we found in the FDA's own database, or label the claim as the brand's. "FDA-registered" isn't the same as FDA-cleared, and we never show it as if it were.

How strong the evidence is for a category is shown in its evidence note, not used to leave products out: for many devices there's no long-term outcome data either way. Variants of one product share a listing with a price range. Genuinely different products from one brand are listed separately. Products are grouped by category and ordered by price.

Supplement stacks

On our supplement stacks page (11 stacks). An all-in-one product is listed when:

  • It's sold for longevity as one daily product or kit, with a price on the brand's own US store.
  • The brand publishes its ingredient panel. We count every dosed ingredient from the brand's own Supplement Facts panel. Ingredients in a blend with no stated amounts are named separately and kept out of the counts. We never estimate a dose.
  • A bundle counts only if it's priced as one. A bundle of separate dosed bottles qualifies when it's priced well below the sum of its parts. A bundle sold at about the sum of its parts doesn't.

Each ingredient is sorted into an evidence tier by one written rule. The testing shown is what each brand states, and we say which certifications we've found on the certifier's own register. Stacks are ordered by cost per 30 days.

Individual supplements

On our individual supplements page (34 products from 7 brands).

Which brands. We look at brands that sell specifically for longevity. Mass-market general vitamin brands aren't listed. Only products for an ingredient on our supplement evidence page are considered.

Five checks. Every point is checked on the brand's own site and dated. A product has to pass all five.

  1. One main ingredient. The named active ingredient at a meaningful dose. Proprietary blends with no stated amounts are out. Combos are allowed only for one standard co-ingredient pairing (e.g. NMN + resveratrol), both dosed, and flagged in the table.
  2. Dose and form per serving stated. For example: "creatine monohydrate 5 g", "EPA 650 mg + DHA 450 mg" or "NR chloride 300 mg". "Fish oil 1000 mg" with no EPA/DHA split fails. A dose shown only on a label image counts; we read the image and say so. A dose the brand itself publishes in a named-lab report on the product page also counts as stated, and we say the label doesn't state it.
  3. Price stated, sold in that market. From the brand's own store. Amazon is allowed as an extra place to buy only if the brand also has its own store; Amazon-only brands are out. Quote-only or no price = out. Subscription-only is allowed, labeled.
  4. Testing proof we can open. At one of three levels, shown on the page:
    • Certification. Found on the certifier's own register (NSF Certified for Sport, NSF/ANSI 173, USP, Informed Sport/Choice, IFOS).
    • Batch CoA. A lab-named batch report with a figure for the main ingredient.
    • Batch CoA (lab not named). A batch report published by the brand that gives a figure for the main ingredient, but doesn't name the lab, or blacks out the issuer, or gives a figure calculated from raw-material reports rather than measured on the finished product. It passes, and the gap is stated next to the product.
Still fails: nothing published; "third-party tested" with no report; a pass/fail or "conforms" tick table; a report with no figure for the main ingredient.
  5. No regulator problem. No FDA warning letter or recall for that product (we search the FDA warning-letter and recall pages, dated). A warning letter naming a product, or the product type it belongs to, excludes the current product that descends from it, even under a new name. An FDA online advisory letter isn't a warning letter: the product can stay, with the letter recorded.

Gaps in a brand's own test report (no batch number, a figure below the label, two labs giving different figures) are stated as plain facts under the product, not hidden. Where a brand passes with several products for one ingredient, we show its lowest cost per 30 days, leaving out anything on sale or sold out when we checked. Each table is ordered by cost per 30 days.

Menopause supplements

On our menopause supplements page (10 products). A product is listed when:

  • It's sold for menopause symptoms in the US, with a price on the brand's own US store.
  • Its ingredients are on the brand's own site. Doses come from the brand's Supplement Facts, including label images, which we read and say so. Where a brand doesn't publish a dose, we show that it isn't disclosed. We never estimate one.

These products don't use our evidence tiers. Each ingredient is matched to what The Menopause Society's 2023 position statement on nonhormone therapy found for hot flashes, with the statement's own evidence level. Ingredients the statement didn't review are labeled "not reviewed", never graded by us. Brand claims are labeled as the brand's. Products are listed alphabetically.

Skin

On our skin page (16 products). A product is listed when:

  • It's sold for aging skin by a longevity brand. That means a brand that also sells longevity supplements or is built around a longevity ingredient. Ranges from any other brand built around a named longevity ingredient, and at-home LED devices sold for skin, also count.
  • The brand publishes a US price on its own store.
  • No safety problem. The same check as for products: no FDA warning letter and no open FDA recall covering the product, searched in the FDA's own databases and dated.

Daily sunscreen check. A sunscreen gets the "Meets our daily sunscreen check" label only if the brand's own page shows all of these: broad spectrum, SPF 30 or higher, water-resistant, active ingredients with percentages, a US price on its own store, and no current FDA warning letter or open recall on the product. It's pass or fail, not a rating, and an added longevity ingredient earns no credit. A sunscreen from a longevity brand that misses the check is listed separately and says so.

Products are grouped by type and ordered by price.

What we leave out, and why

Everything we've checked for this site and not listed, with the reason (86 in all). "Not listed yet" means it could be listed once the reason changes. We keep each one in our records, so it isn't researched twice and is looked at again if it changes.

Another 36 products passed the five checks but aren't shown (counted Oct 31, 2026): they were on sale or sold out when we checked, or they were a brand's second product for the same ingredient.

Quality signals

Every comparison shows the same quality facts for each listing in its category, with "Not stated" where the pages we checked didn't say: for tests, lab accreditation, whether a physician orders the test and who reviews results; for devices, FDA status, FDA and CPSC safety actions, warranty and returns; for supplements, the type of testing proof; for skincare, the type of study the brand cites.

Some listings also carry a short tag, which states a fact we checked: Independent certification; Certification, brand statement; Batch report, named lab; Batch report, lab not named; FDA-cleared (per FDA database); FDA-cleared (brand says); Peer-reviewed study; Brand's own study; CLIA/CAP stated; Physician order included. "Per FDA database" means we found the clearance in the FDA's own database; "brand says" means we haven't checked it there yet. Tags never change the order of a list or what a filter shows, and a listing without a tag isn't ranked lower.

Ratings

Ratings are shown for context and are not an entry criterion. We never publish our own reviews or star ratings. Where we show an outside rating, such as Trustpilot, we name the source, the score, the number of reviews and the date we checked it, and we say when it covers a whole company rather than one product.

Not medical advice

Meeting these rules means a listing is transparent enough to compare, not that it's right for you. Build My Longevity doesn't recommend a test, product or supplement for anyone. Talk to your doctor about what's right for you. See also our disclosure.
