1. Who this policy covers
This policy explains how Build My Longevity ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and discloses personal information through buildmylongevity.com (the "Site"), including the comparison pages, the quiz, the contact form and any related pages.
The Site is operated by BuildMyLongevity, an independent comparison site run by one person. You can reach us through the contact form.
2. What we collect
Browsing the Site: our host, Cloudflare, processes standard technical data to deliver pages and protect the Site (IP address, browser type, pages requested, referring site, date and time). If we turn on Cloudflare Web Analytics, it counts page views in aggregate without cookies (see Section 6).
Taking the quiz: your quiz answers (goals, test category, budget, state, preferences) are processed entirely in your own browser to build your shortlist. They are not sent to us, not stored by the Site, and not shared with any provider. Copying or printing your shortlist happens on your device. When you close or reload the page, your answers are gone.
Using the contact form: your name, your email address if you choose to give it (only needed if you want a reply), the subject and your message.
We don't ask for, and you should never need to give us, health insurance details, medical records, test results or other clinical information. Please don't include them in a contact message.
3. How we use it
- To deliver and secure the Site.
- To understand, in aggregate, which pages are used, so we can improve them.
- To read and reply to contact form messages.
- To comply with the law, for example responding to a valid legal request.
We don't send marketing emails, we have no mailing list, and we don't use personal information to profile you or show you ads.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help run the Site, and only so they can provide that service to us:
- Cloudflare hosts the Site and, if enabled, provides cookieless analytics.
- Web3Forms receives contact form submissions and forwards them to us by email, so our email address isn't published on the Site. Web3Forms' own privacy policy covers its handling of the message in transit.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We do not share your details with any provider listed on the Site. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or use it for targeted advertising, as those terms are used in state privacy laws.
5. Health-related information
Because quiz answers stay in your browser, we don't collect "consumer health data" as defined by Washington's My Health My Data Act, Nevada's consumer health data law or similar state laws, or "sensitive personal information" under California law. Build My Longevity is not a health care provider and is not covered by HIPAA. If you put health details in a contact message anyway, we use them only to reply to you and then delete them.
6. Cookies, analytics and browser signals
The Site does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and it doesn't use third-party ad networks. Cloudflare Web Analytics, if enabled, does not use cookies or local storage and does not fingerprint visitors. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect the Site from abuse.
Global Privacy Control: we don't sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a valid opt-out request. Do Not Track: because we don't track visitors across sites, the Site works the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
7. Your privacy rights
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA): to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to get a copy of it; to correct it; to delete it; to opt out of its sale or sharing; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and not to be treated differently for using these rights. In the past 12 months we collected identifiers (name, email address, IP address), internet activity (pages viewed) and the content of contact messages, from you and your browser, for the purposes in Section 3, and disclosed them only to the service providers in Section 4.
Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia) have similar rights to access, correct, delete and port their personal information, and to opt out of sale, targeted advertising and profiling.
Some of these laws apply only to larger businesses, but we offer the same rights to every visitor, wherever you live.
How to make a request: use the contact form, put "Privacy request" in the Inquiry field, and include an email address so we can reply. We may ask for information to confirm the request is yours, and we'll respond within 45 days. An authorized agent can make a request for you with your written permission. Appeals: if we decline your request, you can appeal by sending a new message through the contact form with "Appeal" in the Inquiry field. If you're unhappy with the outcome of an appeal, you can contact your state Attorney General.
8. Children
The Site is meant for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or sell or share information about anyone under 16. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
9. Where information is processed
Cloudflare and Web3Forms may process information in the United States and other countries. Contact messages are read and answered by us, and by nobody else.
10. Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, including using reputable hosting and form providers and limiting who can read contact messages. No online system is completely secure. We keep contact messages for 12 months, then delete them.
11. No medical advice
Build My Longevity is a comparison tool, not a health care provider. We don't interpret test results, diagnose or give personal health recommendations, and nobody on our side reviews quiz answers, which never reach us.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Site changes. The current version is always posted here with the date it was last updated, and material changes (a new kind of information collected, or a new kind of service provider) will be called out clearly.
