How do you list these products?

How do you decide what's listed here, and how is it checked?
Every price and fact on this page was checked against the brand's own US store on the date shown, not a search snippet or press release. Prices are in US dollars, exactly as the brand shows them, with "from" kept where the brand uses it. Where we couldn't confirm something, we say so rather than guess. We list only products with a published US price: a product that's only taking deposits, or isn't sold in the US, isn't listed until that changes. No brand pays to be listed or for its position. Cards are grouped by category, then listed alphabetically. Spotted something that's changed? Tell us through the contact form and we'll check it before updating the page.
Some brands sell several products. Why are some on separate cards?
Variants of the same product (Manta's mask styles, Therabody's Theragun range, Joovv's device sizes) share one card with a price range. Genuinely different products from one brand get their own cards, cross-linked: Ultrahuman's Ring PRO, its Home device and its M2 Live glucose monitor, and Hume's Band and Pod. Ultrahuman's Blood Vision is a blood test, so it's on our compare page instead. Ultrahuman's Ring AIR isn't sold in the US, per Ultrahuman, so it isn't listed.
Are these devices FDA-cleared?
We only state a device's FDA status where the brand or the FDA's own database says it, and we quote it rather than describe it in our own words. Right now that's one card: Ultrahuman says the Lingo sensor used by M2 Live is "available over-the-counter". For the other products, the brands didn't state an FDA status on the pages we checked, which tells you nothing either way. A brand's health claims (an ECG, blood-pressure readings, a "biological age") are the brand's descriptions, not our assessment. Checked Oct 9, 2026.
Can I pay with an HSA or FSA?
10 of the 21 products say on the brand's own site that they're HSA/FSA eligible: Circular Ring 2, Garmin (Forerunner 970 / Venu 4), Hume Band 2.0, Ultrahuman Ring PRO, Whoop (5.0 / MG), Ultrahuman Home, Withings Sleep, Joovv, Plunge, Ultrahuman M2 Live. Bryte Balance, Sleepme (ChiliSleep) offer HSA/FSA payment through Truemed, a third-party service. The rest don't say. Eligibility depends on your own plan, so check with your plan administrator before you pay. This isn't tax advice. Checked Oct 9, 2026.
How strong is the evidence behind recovery tech?
It varies a lot by category. Percussion massage and compression have moderate support for short-term muscle soreness and recovery. Red and near-infrared light and cold plunges are where marketing claims most often outrun the research, especially claims about longevity, which have essentially no long-term outcome data behind them. Nothing on this page is medical advice: talk to a doctor if you have a condition that heat, cold or compression could affect.
Why don't you show "was" prices or star ratings?
We only show a price drop when we've recorded both prices ourselves, with dates. A brand's own struck-through or "compare at" price isn't enough, because inflated former prices are exactly what the FTC's guides against deceptive pricing cover. Where a brand is running a sale, we show it as a "Current offer" with the date we saw it. We never publish our own reviews or star ratings, and we haven't cited any outside ratings for US products yet.

Building your own longevity plan?

Wearables and recovery tech are one piece of it. Read the guide for how testing, daily habits and products fit together, or compare US testing providers directly.
